3 more BN reps would joint Pakatan - Nizar

IPOH: Three more Barisan Nasional assemblyman are expected to join Pakatan Rakyat despite their pledge of loyalty to the Barisan, said Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin.

He said talks were in progress between Pakatan and the three, who he said had approached the coalition following Bota state assemblyman Datuk Nasarudin Hashim’s defection from Umno to Keadilan on Sunday.

“They came to meet us without us inviting them,” Nizar said after attending the Perak DAP Chinese New Year open house here yesterday.

He, however, declined to reveal the identities of the three or which parties they had approached for fear of their safety.

“The danger could be anything. It could be big, it could be small.

“They could be threatened,” he added.

Nizar said like Nasarudin, the three assemblymen were frustrated with Umno and its in-fighting.
