Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said it was the public’s responsibility to hand over the pictures to the police.He reminded the public that those caught in possession of the pictures can be prosecuted.
“Those who have her pictures should hand them over to the police or the menteri besar’s office for us to forward them to the authorities.
“I will ask the police to investigate the authenticity of the pictures,” Khalid said.
Her personal assistant Chong Pai Chee said Wong has not lodged a fresh police report on the new pictures, adding that she was leaving the matter to her lawyers.Wong was earlier threatened that more intimate pictures of her would be circulated but she had decided to put the incident behind her and resume her duties as state Exco member in charge of tourism, consumer affairs and environment.
Wong, who attended a state event to give out funds for Chinese schools with the menteri besar, here, yesterday, refused to talk to reporters after the function.
Police has yet to trace Helmi Malek, the main suspect linked to the distribution of her earlier pictures. Helmi is believed to be in a neighbouring country.
